Ferrari Short Film!

To celebrate the launch of the 488 Pista Spider, TAUBLIEB Films was commissioned to create and produce a special short film.   Shot onHighway 1 in Big Sur, it debuted with the introduction of the car at the Mondial de L’Auto in Paris last week.

Based on original creative concept by Paul Taublieb, Taublieb also Directed and Produced the project, with Susan Cooper serving as Executive Producer.  Lead DP was Dave Warshauer and Co-DP was Nathan Garofalos.  Stacy Transou Co-Producer, Wesley Forsyth and David Clark Associate Producers and DIT.  Sound by Jeff Pace.   Driver Tegan Hammond.

Waltrip-Earnhardt Feature Doc!

Taublieb Films is thrilled to announced we are in production on a new feature documentary chronicling the amazing story and career of Michael Waltrip culminating in his complex, star-crossed relationship with the legendary Dale Earnhardt, based on Waltrip’s best-selling book of the same name.

Among the peop le featured in the film include Waltrip, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Darrel Waltrip, Richard Childress, and Richard Petty, among many others.   The film is being Directed, Written and Produced by Paul Taublieb, Producer Mitch Covington, Executive Producers Sam Pontrelli, Mark Hall and Susan Cooper.  Co-Producers Pam Miller and Stacy Transou, Associate Producer and Production Supervisor, Wesley Forsyth.  The film is being produced with the support of Monster Energy.  Look for a limited theatrical release in time for the 2019 Daytona 500!

 

Blood Line: The Life and Times of Brian Deegan”

Feature Length Documentary Drops on iTunes on 10/16!

H e has been a hero, villain, icon and star amassing many X Games  medals and establishing himself as an action sports legend.  But a horrendous, life-threatening crash transformed Deegan, and he found himself in the struggle to re-invent himself, miraculously ending up as a champion off-road truck racer and more importantly, an inspirational father figure, now raising the next generation of motorsports stars, including his son Haiden, national champion motocross racer, and his daughter, Hailie, NASCAR’s fastest rising star who just made history with the first win by a woman in the sport. The path has been long and torturous, and is documented in this feature-length documentary.

Directed and produced by Paul Taublieb and Susan Cooper, Producer Mitch Covington, and Executive Producers Sam Pontrelli, Mark Hall, Tim Reed and Jason Krutzsch, and written by Taublieb.  Co-Producer Stacy Transou, and edited by Jake Oelman and Wesley Forsyth. Monster Energy’s Big Wave Tow-in Invitational is Back! Waiting for Waves – Again!

The top big wave surfers in the world are set to push the limits of big wave performance surfing in a special expression session set for this winter on an outer reef on the North Shore of Hawaii as part of a documentary on big wave surfing.

Last winter season, the ocean never delivered, but standing by to bring high-performance surfing to big surf in the winter of 2018-19 is an all-star cast headlined by Makua Rothman, Shane Dorian, Kai Lenny, Nathan Fletcher and Grant “Twiggy” Baker who will be towing-in or stepping off when the surf goes extra large this winter, all showcased as part of a one-hour tv show airing on ABC network and covering the history of big wave surfing culminating in the Invitational.

Profiles in Courage – The Special Olympics

ESPN and Special Olympics have teamed up on a year-long storytelling initiative telling the stories of 50 game changers and game changing moments toward inclusion to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the first games held in Chicago in 1968. The pieces feature Special Olympics athletes, advocates, and parents from around the world.  

TAUBLIEB Films kicked off their contribution to this series with a profile of actress Jamie Brewer, recurring star on “American Horror Story” and other productions, which aired on ABC’s “Good Morning America” and ESPN, and upcoming pieces including a profile of actor John C. McGinley and his quest to banish the “R” word.

“ENHANCED” Series Streaming on ESPN+

Paul Taublieb Directs Episodes Exploring the Future of Sports with Oscar-winner Alex Gibney

Paul Taublieb had the pleasure of directing two-episodes of the six-episode series “Enhanced” from Academy Award-winning producer Alex Gibney of Jigsaw Productions, also produced in conjunction with ESPN Films.

 

The two episodes of this series exploring the intersection of technology and culture, directed by Taublieb, include “Mind Gurus,” an exploration of the mind as the next frontier of performance and including profiles of the “Iceman” Wim Hof and multi-time Olympic champion, Kerri Walsh-Jennings, and “Endurance” shot in Kenya and looking at the mystery of East African distance runners.
